Visited what supposed to be 'old city'. Well, Shenzhen is very young city, so 'old' means 1980s here. But the buildings were quite nice though. Today we also explored some mountains, Wu Tong National Park. The landscape reminds me Fichtelgebirge and Karpaty, although the forest looks completely different from what you see in Europe.
Food. Cantonese food is good, although there is a joke that they eat "everything that has four legs and is not a chair, if it has two wings and flies but not and airplane, if it swims and is not a submarine". Here you can order a lot of exotic stuff like shark's filet, crocodile meat or a steamed turtle, but most people eat normal stuff like pork, beef, mushrooms and vegetables. The most weird thing I tasted was lotus root and it was good. However we did see a dead dog head at the meat market in old city, although I'm not sure they were selling dog's meat there. No cockroaches or other similar shit are sold here.
As I said before, the Chinese drive quite recklessly, so I expected to see a pravoslavie approach to safety when we boarded a taxi. But no, the taxi drivers do not have those icons at the front window and do not think that the God will stop momentum conservation law for them. They have their seat belt fastened and the passenger at the front seat is also expected to do so. However, only half of the cars have seat belts on the rear seats.
