Day 23: No smoking, no eating, no baloon

Today I tested Chinese high speed rail, a newly opened 300 kmh line. I travelled to Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. It took 35 minutes to travel from Shenzhen to Guangzhou with a top speed of 307 kmh, and then it took another 40 minutes to travel from the railway station to downtown by subway.

Metro in Guangzhou looks similar to Shenzhen metro, and the latter is similar to Hong Kong metro. Everything is announced in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. After 4 days here I can now tell when they speak in Mandarin or Cantonese.
