A 15 hours flight was not that bad as a was sleeping most of the time. And when I was not sleeping, I was eating. So, having left San Francisco at 23pm on December 31st, I landed in Hong Kong at 6am on January 2nd. What the fuck happened to January 1st? It was permanently lost due to the largest time zone switch I've ever experienced. San Francisco (I always misspell it, but then I remember CISCO and correct myself) is in GMT-8 and Hong Kong is in GMT+8, so I lost one day but don't really miss it, as I'm getting more homesick in the end of vacation. And who said that Asia is on the East? It is on the West of Munich so far!
Hong Kong is, how to describe it, full of scycrappers (sic), noisy and polluted, but it do has its charm, and in the end of the day I even liked it. At 12 pm I went to Tsim Sha Tsu square whene I gave my passport to a man I've never met before. No, I'm not that stupid, I first asked him if he is Mr. Shao.
- Shao du, - replied a man.
- Ich bin kein Herr Shao, du bist Herr Shao, warum ich muss Herr Shao sein? - I thought but didnt tell him that.
- Six pi em, - he told. - Six pi em.
At 6 pm I went back to Tsim Sha Tsu square, but nobody was there. As I was starting getting nervous, he finally arrived and gave me my passport with a three months Chinese visa sticked there. People's Republic of China has finally opened its doors to me, but I still resist entering.
